Care & Cleaning
FreshStation
- Always plug your FreshStation into a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet.
- To avoid risk of electric shock and/or damage to the unit components, do not immerse your FreshStation in water.
- Never place FreshStation directly on the stovetop or on a wet or slippery surface.
- Use only non-abrasive cleaners to wash the surface of your FreshStation.
- If liquid or food is accidentally vacuumed into the FreshStation wand or reservoir, simply remove the affected part, clean with dish detergent, and promptly reassemble.
- Should the wand hose become clogged with liquid or food, remove and run warm, soapy water through the wand hose, and reservoir, then reassemble.
FreshPump
- Wash your FreshPump with warm soapy water.
- Do not disassemble.
- You may remove the green ring at the base of the FreshPump, rinse with warm soapy water, and dry pieces thoroughly before reassembling.
FreshContainers
- The containers are designed to be stain-resistant, dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator, and microwave safe.
- Periodically check the seal and underlying rim of the container for debris to ensure the tightest seal.
- If the green seal is ever removed from the rim of the lid, be sure that the smooth side of the seal faces in toward the container lid (the dotted pattern or relief impression should face outward).
- To disassemble green button valve:
- Looking at underside of lid, push underside of green button with thumb and use other hand to remove other side of button (hard plastic piece).
- Pull rubber valve through top of lid. Hand wash these pieces with warm soapy water.
- Dry pieces thoroughly before reassembling.
- To reassemble green button valve:
- Push rubber valve through hole in top of VacuWare lid. Valve is properly installed when lip on valve catches on underside of lid.
- Firmly press hard plastic green button through hole in valve.
Note: Do not attempt to assemble button and valve before inserting into lid. This can damage the valve and will affect the seal.
Choking Hazard: Product contains small parts not suitable for small children.
FreshJarLids
- If your FreshJarLids need cleaning, run them through a dishwashing cycle, or hand wash in warm, soapy water, dry, and reseal.
- Liquid accidentally vacuumed through the jar lid valve may reduce the effectiveness of the vacuum seal. If this happens, run your FreshJarLids through a dishwashing cycle. If you continue to experience difficulty with the quality of the seal, simply disassemble, clean, and reassemble (see instructions below.)
